One engineer who ships the whole thing.
Web, mobile and AI builds owned end to end — from the first Figma frame to the app-store release note. Remote-first, two to eight week engagements, no team to manage.
I build products the way a small team wishes it could.
I'm Mohanraj Murugesan, a full-stack engineer working with founders and small teams across India and the diaspora. Most of my work starts the same way: someone has a product that needs to exist in six weeks and no one to own it.
So I own it. Frontend, mobile, API layer, payments, deployment — and the unglamorous parts in between, like getting an app through store review on the first submission. Three of the products I've shipped are live in production today; two more are in flight.
The numbers I care about are the ones a client can feel: ten thousand people using the thing, a page that loads thirty-five percent faster, a release that didn't get rejected.
Everything below has shipped to production.
no handoffs
Six builds. Six roles I held alone.
A stay-booking platform shipped as a pair: a Next.js web app and a React Native companion, both built and maintained solo. Search, listings, booking flow, Razorpay checkout and the whole shared state layer. The mobile app cleared app-store review on first submission.
- Next.js
- React Native
- TypeScript
- Tailwind
- Zustand
- React Query
- Razorpay
The companion app: booking, payments and account flows shipped to both stores, approved on first submission.
An elder-care safety platform for NRI families — a fall-detection pendant with SOS alerts, geo-fencing and an automatic pill dispenser, with real-time alerts reaching family abroad.
Backend and infrastructure for a pre-launch platform: Nest.js services, Postgres schema, containerised deploys on AWS.
An AI SaaS built end to end — Gemini and Claude generation pipelines, Stripe billing, and the whole product surface around them.
Marketing and product frontend for a SaaS team, with motion work that holds up on slow connections.
